Vert Shock Review: Is It Worth It?
Vert Shock is a popular 8-week vertical jump training program that claims to help you increase your jump and improve your explosiveness using bodyweight plyometric workouts.
The big question is: does it actually work, and is it worth your money?
The program is built by athletes and focuses on fast, explosive movements to train your leg muscles and improve jumping ability. It does not use weights, only bodyweight exercises and jumping drills.
Many users report real improvements, especially beginners. Some reviews show average gains of around 6–10 inches in vertical jump after completing the program, although results vary depending on effort and consistency.
However, it is not magic. The workouts are intense, and you need discipline to follow the full 8 weeks. Without consistent training, results will be limited.
Program Overview
After I bought this program I was so excited to try it and start working out to get my first dunk.
So the layout of vert shok, as I told you earlier, is very easy to use and not complicated at all. In fact it is probably the best layout I saw at any programs that I used.
The main menu is a vertical navigational bar with everything for comfortable use of this program. Within each section of the program there is Adam Folker who explains his tips on this section, so you could get most gains from your workout.
Program Exercises
I was pleased that you don’t need any workout equipment at all for this program. But still if you have some equipment you can use it if you feel that your workout is too easy, or if you want to make more complicated workout to faster get results. But you don’t need to start from the most complicated, you need to slowly work your way up to get the best results in a long term.
This program is divided into 3 sections. First one is Pre-Shock, in this one you sort of preparing you body for next level, which is Shock Phase, and the last one is Pre-Shock. In my opinion people from vert shock made sections because so you didn’t do the harder exercises when you are not ready for them yet, which will cause overtraining injury.
Phase 1: Pre-Shock
This section lasts 1 week, and it prepares you to do much intense exercises in the next section.
What is great about pre-shock phase, is that a lot of people who purchased and gone through this program, saw a gains in their vertical up to 3 inches after first phase alone.
Phase 2: Shock
Second phase on this program called Shock phase, it lasts 6 weeks and it is main part and is like a bulk part of the Vert Shock, in this phase you will workout much harder and get most gains from.
The purpose of the workouts in this phase is to activate and made stronger your fast twitch muscle fibers, which are muscles that you will use in explosive movements, like a vertical jump.
For you to get most of this program you will need yo put all 100% of yourself in every exercise and workout, and what is very important is resting, you will need to follow very strict resting guidelines, because if you train alot but don’t rest then you just killing you muscle growth, and you will not see any results!
Phase 3: Post-Shock
And the last section is post-shock, this phase is made to secure and maintain your muscles and begin the recovery.
Unlike a shock-phase in this section you will not see a additional gains in your vert jump. However, if you did this program correctly as Adam Folker explained, I’m more than sure that you will see your results.
Conclusion
Is Vert Shock a scam and if not does it really work?
I’m sure you came here only to get answer on this question. I’ll say with confidence that this program is NOT a scam and if you put effort in your workout you will get your results!
Price if this program is $67 and on my opinion is a real deal, because if you spend just $67 you will benefit not only on dunks but you will play on court much better and it more important than dunks alone!
